Dehradun: Social media influencer Anurag Dobhal has become the subject of a police case after a local resident filed a complaint accusing him of physical assault, intimidation and related offenses. The FIR was recorded at Nehru Colony police station based on a statement given by Raj Singh Chauhan.
Authorities have launched an investigation and are currently verifying the details outlined in the complaint.
Altercation Said to Have Begun During a Meeting
According to the filing, Chauhan arrived at a location near a Nexa showroom adjacent to Yellow Hills Café on the evening of October 5 to meet Dobhal and several acquaintances.
The complainant alleges that a verbal dispute broke out around 8 p.m., which quickly turned into a physical confrontation.
He claims Dobhal attempted to choke him while other individuals present allegedly struck him with sticks and metal objects. The complaint also mentions an attempt to run him over with a vehicle.
Alleged Theft of Phone and Gold Chain
Chauhan told investigators that he sustained injuries during the scuffle and that his mobile phone and a gold chain were taken from him. He says he managed to leave the scene after the incident.
These allegations have not yet been independently corroborated; investigators are examining the facts surrounding the episode.
Threats Reported After the Incident
The complainant further asserts that the harassment continued beyond the venue. He says he subsequently received threatening phone calls and Instagram messages aimed at both him and his family members.
The FIR lists Dobhal alongside Abhay Chaudhary, Tapan Pandit, Abhishek Tiger, Abhinav Srivastava and Guru Bhai, among others.
FIR Filed Under Specific Legal Provisions
Nehru Colony police recorded the case under Sections 117(2), 191(2) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) as per Chauhan’s complaint.
Evidence collection is ongoing, and statements are being taken to reconstruct the sequence of events. No definitive conclusions have been reached yet; the investigation will determine each accused’s role as it proceeds.
