Hyderabad. After the corpse of a 34‑year‑old female bank employee was located inside a room at the Gokul Pride Hotel in SR Nagar, authorities have filed a murder case.
The victim has been identified as B. Sirisha, a resident of Nagasamudram, Vikarabad district, who worked as a customer‑care executive for a bank.
According to the investigation, Sirisha arrived at the hotel on 24 September together with a man later identified as A. Srinivas. Both reportedly used aliases and forged identification when reserving the accommodation.
Hotel records show that Srinivas entered the name “Ganesh” while Sirisha was listed as “Durga,” and they were assigned room 10.
Police say Srinivas departed the premises at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, telling staff that Sirisha would stay on for breakfast before checking out. When the expected checkout never occurred and the guest failed to answer calls, hotel personnel grew suspicious and alerted the police.
Upon entering the room with a master key, officers found Sirisha lifeless on the bed, bearing visible injury marks. Early findings suggest she may have been struck with a heavy or sharp object; a curtain rod recovered from the room is being examined as a possible weapon. The definitive cause of death will be confirmed after the post‑mortem report.
Jubilee Hills DCP A. Ramana Reddy confirmed that a murder case has been registered under Section 103(1) of the BNS. Fingerprints and other forensic material have been collected, and CCTV footage from the hotel is being scrutinised to trace Srinivas’s movements and piece together the timeline.
Special task forces have been assembled to locate the suspect. Investigators are also probing the discrepancy between the alias “Durga” used in the hotel log and Sirisha’s actual name recorded in official documents.
Police are additionally looking into a prior alleged assault involving Sirisha’s husband to ascertain any possible link to the present case.
The search for A. Srinivas continues, with authorities examining every lead to unravel the circumstances surrounding the murder.
