New Delhi: Vidda, Hisense’s premium home‑theater division, has introduced its flagship Big Eye M2 Pro projector to the Chinese market. Tailored for cinephiles and gamers alike, the device combines a triple‑colour laser source, a 360° motorised gimbal and a suite of high‑end specifications that aim to replicate a theater experience without a wall‑mounted bracket.

Pricing and Market Roll‑out

The Big Eye M2 Pro is priced at 5,499 yuan in China, with a limited‑time rebate that effectively lowers the cost to 4,949 yuan. Early adopters can select the sleek “Moonlight White” finish right away, while the “Space Silver” variant is currently available for reservation. No official launch date or pricing has been announced for India.

4K Imaging and Brightness

At the heart of the projector sits a 0.47‑inch DMD chip paired with Vidda’s proprietary QuaLas42 triple‑laser engine. Together they produce up to 1,800 CVIA lumens, bright enough for well‑lit living rooms. The unit supports HDR10+ and HLG, and its glass‑lens optics provide a 1.3× optical zoom with a throw ratio ranging from 1.0:1 to 1.3:1.

For a 100‑inch image the projector needs roughly 2.2 m of distance; a 150‑inch picture can be achieved from about 3.3 m, depending on room geometry.

Gaming‑Centric Features

The M2 Pro is engineered with gamers in mind. It can display native 4K at up to 60 Hz, while dropping to 1080p unlocks a rapid 240 Hz refresh rate. An HDMI 2.1 input, MediaTek MT9679 processor and 3 GB of RAM enable Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low‑Latency Mode (ALLM), delivering fluid gameplay on compatible consoles and PCs.

360° Motorised Gimbal for Easy Installation

Unlike traditional projectors that rely on ceiling mounts or external brackets, the Big Eye M2 Pro incorporates a built‑in gimbal that rotates a full 360°. Users can tilt the projector toward the ceiling, floor or any angle, simplifying placement on tables, shelves or wall‑mounts.

Additional automatic tools—autofocus, keystone correction and screen‑alignment assistance—further reduce setup time, allowing the projector to self‑optimise the picture with minimal user input.

Integrated Four‑Speaker Audio

Sound is handled by a built‑in 20 W, four‑speaker array that includes two full‑range drivers and two tweeters. The audio stack supports Dolby Audio and DTS:X, providing an immersive soundstage that complements the large‑format visuals.

India Launch Still Pending

At present the Big Eye M2 Pro is sold exclusively in China. Vidda has not disclosed a timeline or pricing for an Indian release. If the company decides to enter the Indian market, it is expected to publish localized details in a separate announcement.
