Dehradun. On his birthday Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a heartfelt visit to the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD). He joined the young learners for a cake‑cutting ceremony and spent quality time sharing laughter and encouragement.
The children welcomed the chief minister with evident excitement. Dhami interacted warmly, praised their talents and wished each of them a future filled with success. The institute buzzed with an atmosphere of affection, unity and optimism.
Emphasising that every child holds remarkable potential, Dhami highlighted that nurturing this talent requires the right opportunities, confidence‑building, and consistent support. He reminded the audience that empowering persons with disabilities is a shared duty, extending beyond government to the entire community.
He urged the students to chase their ambitions with self‑belief, perseverance and steady effort. Dhami stressed that society must guarantee equal chances, dignity and a nurturing environment for every individual.
Spending the day with the children, Dhami said, refreshed his spirit and sparked new inspiration. He described their affection and radiant smiles as the most special and unforgettable birthday presents he could receive.
Accompanying him were his wife, Smt. Geeta Pushkar Dhami, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, and several teachers from the institute, all of whom shared in the celebratory mood.
