Tragic outcome of a domestic clash in Sadarpur
On a Sunday in Sadarpur, a locality under the Madhuban Bapudham police jurisdiction, 33‑year‑old Renu was discovered lifeless following a violent dispute with her spouse. Investigators have filed a case against the husband, Arun, who remains at large.
Renu’s background and family
Renu originated from Jalalpur village in Aligarh’s Pisawa block. She had been married to Arun, a resident of Sadarpur, for about fifteen years. The pair were parents to two boys, aged 12 and 9.
Family alleges a history of abuse
Relatives on Renu’s maternal side claim that Arun displayed a tendency toward physical aggression, particularly after consuming alcohol. They assert that confrontations were not new and that the couple had previously engaged in multiple heated arguments.
Escalation on the day of the tragedy
The latest altercation reportedly began on Sunday when another argument erupted. According to the family, the dispute quickly turned physical. During the scuffle, Arun is said to have placed a video call to Renu’s brother, Rahul Rathi, showing his sister’s injuries and urging him to come and take her away.
Brother’s rush to the scene
After receiving the distressing call, Rahul, accompanied by other relatives, drove to Sadarpur. Upon arrival they found the house locked, and neighbours informed them that Renu had already been taken to a medical facility.
Hospital declaration
The family reached the Joint District Hospital in Sanjay Nagar. Doctors examined Renu and pronounced her dead. Preliminary reports indicated a severe head injury, allegedly caused by a heavy object.
Husband’s disappearance
Renu’s relatives claim that members of Arun’s family left the hospital before they could arrive. Following the death, Rahul lodged a formal complaint naming Arun and several in‑laws as suspects.
Police response and manhunt
DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal confirmed that investigators are actively searching for Arun. The police have begun tracing his whereabouts and said further legal steps will follow once he is located.
