Fatal Slip in Parsokha Hamlet
On Thursday evening, four‑year‑old Ansh Chaudhary was roaming near his house in Parsokha, a small settlement under the Kotwali police beat of Maihar district, Madhya Pradesh. He approached the rim of an open septic tank that still contained stagnant water and inadvertently slipped inside.
Immediate Rescue Efforts
Nearby residents and relatives rushed to the spot, pulled the child out of the tank and hurried him to the closest medical facility. Despite the medical team’s swift intervention, Ansh was declared dead, leaving his family devastated and the neighbourhood in disbelief.

The Kotwali police arrived promptly, filing a case of accidental death. Investigators are examining why the septic tank remained uncovered and whether any protective barriers existed. The inquiry aims to uncover any negligence that may have contributed to the mishap.
